Execution latency is the time from source-chain submission to a message reaching its final state on the destination chain.

These pages explain how finality and confirmation settings affect latency, and how Faster-Than-Finality (FTF) changes the risk model.

## Pages

- [Finality by Chain](/ccip/concepts/execution-latency/finality-by-chain): Chain-specific finality models and typical time-to-finality under CCIP defaults.
- [Faster-Than-Finality (FTF) - Overview](/ccip/concepts/execution-latency/ftf): Execute before full finality: reorg risk, bounded-risk guarantees, and what changes when you opt in.
- [Faster-Than-Finality (FTF) - Token Issuers](/ccip/concepts/execution-latency/ftf-token-issuers): Pool-side controls for FTF: minimum confirmation floors, dedicated rate limits, and differentiated fees.
- [Faster-Than-Finality (FTF) - dApps](/ccip/concepts/execution-latency/ftf-dapps): Sender- and receiver-side controls for FTF: \`requestedFinalityConfig\` , \`allowedFinalityConfig\` , avoiding stranded messages, and idempotency.
